A rustic yet sophisticated safari lodge, Zintulo Safari Lodge

offers wrap around views of the spectacular lower lying areas of the Nambiti Conservancy. Zintulo Safari Lodge is set apart due to its dramatic and spectacular location.

Zintulo Private Safari Lodge, nestles within the Nambiti Big 5 Game Conservancy, and is situated in the Northern KwaZulu Natal Region.

Resting in the outer lying foothills of the mighty Drakensberg Mountains, Zintulo overlooks the gentle rolling hills and floodplains which possessively hide and protect the life giving Sundays River, which flows through the conservancy.

Guests can look forward to exciting game-drives in open 4 x 4 safari vehicles led by experienced rangers. Offering you the opportunity to experience the abundant South African wildlife including Africa’s Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo) not forgetting the exquisite variety of bird life found in the region.

With literally hundreds of historical sites scattered around the nearby country side, makes Zintulo the Historians ideal getaway to experience the historic Battlefields of both the Anglo – Boer and the Zulu – Boer wars, which form part of our Countries fusion of History and Culture.

Included in the Rate

Bush Breakfast
GUESTS are treated to occasional breakfast out in the reserve, where breakfast is served. This is enjoyed under the African sky, and can only be done under suitable conditions.

Boma Dinners
Under the star studded sky around a burning log fire. This is a true and unique South African experience

Game Drives
GUESTS are taken on early morning and early evening open 4 x 4 Safari vehicle game drives

Birding
Number of GUESTS at any one time permitting – specific Birding drives will be arranged.

Wildlife Lectures
These lectures cover a variety of wildlife subjects. Lectures are organised to take place on bad weather days and guests will be advised of time and venue accordingly.

Safari Lunch
GUESTS are taken to the Waterfall and various waterholes where a picnic lunch is had. Waterhole picnics are only offered during winter, dry season months as this is the time when wildlife congregates around these watering spots. Waterfall picnics are more flexible and are largely dependant on the in house GUESTS and the weather.

Astronomy
Full moon and fair weather permitting, and an evening game drive becomes an African folklore and galaxy experience.

The Drakensberg Experience
Leave from Ladysmith Airfield and head for the central Drakensburg. Fly along the berg and experience the beauty of the area.

Ladysmith Scenic Flight
Depart from Ladysmith Airfield and route over Spionkop Battlefields and dam. Before routing back to Ladysmith.

Zintulo Private Safari Lodge is situated within the Nambiti Conservancy, situated 25 km's east of Ladysmith and is only 3½ hours from Johannesburg, 2½ hours from Durban and 40 minutes from the Drakensberg.
