An exclusive conference favility offers multi-variable seating for up to 200 delegates in a choice of 5 venues. The charming stone-and-thatch chapel with its magnificent view is the perfect setting for a memorable wedding.

When the mountain peaks bask in the last rays of late afternoon sunshine, enjoy sundowners in the comfort of Albert's Cocktail Bar, a friendly meeting place; or relax with the family and watch evening descend on the valley from the hotel patio. The elegant dining-room offers an extensive buffet and superb cuisine, personally supervised by the hotel's top class chef. After dinner, enjoy a game of darts or pool or watch sport on the big screen at the well-known late night Harry's Bar, where friends gather around a roaring log fire.

Hotel guests can enjoy a host of sports activities, including swimming, tennis, squash, horse and pony rides, trout fishing, bowls, floodlit mini-golf, volleyball, gym with steam room and a leisurely game of golf on our scenic nine-hole golf course. Helicopter sight seeing tours and transfers are available by arrangement. The climbing tower is a great alternative for corporate team building challenges as well as family fun. The history of the San people lives on in the well-preserved Bushman paintings found in the nearby foothills. Cathedral Peak Hotel offers a wide variety of accommodation. All hotel rooms provide tea/coffee making facilities, heaters, fans, telephones, televisions and en-suite bathrooms with both bath and shower.

Deluxe family thatched room

The comfortable en-suite family thatch rooms are ideally situated in the beautiful hotel gardens and can accommodate between 2 & 4 guests. These nowly refurbished rooms have a sleeper couch and in the en-suite bathroom, a shower overhead the bath.  Two of the rooms have bathrooms specifically decisedn to accommodate disabled guests.

 Very spacious deluxe suites have a private verandah and garden and the Interleading family deluxe rooms are able to accommodate up to 4 guests in either twin or double beds.

Recently re-built, these rooms offer fabulous value in an elegant style, with underfloor heating and either a double or twin beds. The rooms featuer a flat-screen TV and mini bar fridge which can be stocked on request.

Honeymoon / Executive Room

The well-appointed executive/honeymoon rooms are set in secluded gardens. Recently refurbished, these thatched rooms offer breathtaking mountain views from a private veranda.  The rooms all boast a king-size bed, LCD television, telephone, mini bar fridge, electric fireplace, underfloor heating and spa bath.

The Hotel's many indoor facilities include table tennis, a games room, fully equipped gym with steam room and a beauty therapist where you are encouraged to relax and be pampered with one of the many treatments available from Peak Performance Vitality Centre.

The elegant hotel dining room offers an extensive buffet of superb culinary creations at both breakfast and dinner.  All meals are personally overseen by the hotel's team of top-class chefs.  A separate children's dining room provides younger children with nutritious meals, toys and entertainment and the opportunity of meeting new friends (babysitters are available on request).

After dinner, enjoy a game of pool, darts or sport on the big screen in the well-known Harry's Bar or relax in the comfort of Albert's Cocktail Bar with the ambience of a roaring log fire.

Outdoor Activities

 Free daily guided hikes (including walks to Bushman paintings and beautiful waterfalls) are offered. Bird spotting enthusiasts can obtain a list of the more than 121 resident species recorded.  In addition there are horse & pony rides, archery, mountain bike trails (bikes for hire), a marked jogging route, tennis, squash, bowls, outdoor chess, beach volleyball, badminton, floodlit mini-adventure golf, 10m climbing tower, heated & cold swimming pool, fly fishing, quad bike riding and helicopter sightseeing flights.

The 9-hole golf course situated on the hotel property offers alternate tees for an 18-hole game. The club house boasts rest rooms, a lounge area, pub (Philip's Pholy) and a terrace with spectacular mountain views - the perfect 19th hole. The length of the course is 5542m and the course is graded a par 70.  clubs and golf carts are available for hire.

Cathedral Peak Hotel is also a welcome family retreat with a host of children's facilities including pony rides, a children's playground, jumping castle, heated paddling pool and trampoline.
